a whole lot of random

It's a new semester- our second one here, and I am almost more nervous for this one than I was for the last because I know more of what to expect! Ha!

It'll be fine though, we can do it. I am just not looking forward to seeing so much less of Matt when we've had him all to ourselves for four weeks now. (the break was wonderful by the way!)

We have some things to look forward to though. Zman goes back to pre-school- something he really enjoys! (he starts kindergarten later this year- I don't know quite how I feel about that!) He is also learning to read- sounds letters make to sound out words- and recently started attempting to spell and write words on his own. He called me into the kitchen to show me a word he created (Lulu started helping him add some letters):

Today I am also a bit amazed at how fast my kids are growing. Do you just constantly look at pictures from not too long ago and feel that same amazement? This one of Ezman is from just before we moved here- and while it's not as drastic as the others, he still looks a lot smaller here to me than he is now.

This picture really got me- it's from the same time as Z's, and she looks soooooo much younger to me here.

We are super excited for a little dance class I am starting today for a few little girls around here. Lulu is super excited as she has missed dancing since moving away from grandma and grandpa's beautiful studio and fantastic dance class she had just joined.

And then of course this guy- growing amazingly every single day! He rolls all over the place now, and keeps pulling his knees up under himself- I don't know if I am ready for him to crawl just yet.

I put on his handsome little blessing tux his Grandma Roxann gave to him so I could take a couple of pictures- I had been meaning to do it for a few months now, but just kept forgetting. So, now that he is SIX months old (crazy, I know) and the tux is nearly too small, we gave it a go!

Here he is on the actual blessing day. So tiny, so cute, but kind of small for the blessing tux!

So I guess we're off- learning, growing, trying new things, enjoying old things- Life! It just keeps on going doesn't it? And even though it seems to be moving fast, and overwhelming at times, it really is a wonderful thing.
