miracle of miracles

We recently had to write a letter about the hardships we've faced as of late...

I tell you what- if you want to feel pretty sorry for yourself- there is nothing better than to write down all the tough, seemingly unfair and unpleasant things you've experienced.

It got me thinking though, despite the challenges we may have faced, I feel pretty good.

I am happy.

And I realized that gratitude does the exact opposite that wallowing does.

So, I am going to work to continue recognizing my blessings, and find things to be grateful for!

Today I am grateful for a little miracle,
yes the miracle of this little man,
AND- the fact that he has now slept through the night for three nights this week-
and believe me, that is BIG!

For whatever reason, none of my babies have slept through the night very easily
because of that, I have not slept through the night for about six years.

Sleeping through the night is a miracle in my mind,
and one I am grateful for today!

Sleep is definitely something to be thankful for, especially with kids. I long for the days when I was able to take a nap during the day. That was a long time ago. :)

Haha...when you are up at night think of me too! I don't think I've slept either in about that amount of time. I started to think I was going to get some deep sleep and then I got pregnant again and it starts over. Are you guys still in Logan? Come see us in SLC sometime if you are down here, ok?
