one of those days

We had planned on heading down to Arizona for a wonderful, warm Thanksgiving with family- but didn't end up able to do that. So, we had our own little feast here, in freezing Logan.

It was delicious- with a brined turkey, cranberry chutney, candied yams and a few other traditional dishes. And dessert- oh did we go crazy with the dessert- pumpkin pie, pumpkin pudding pie, pumpkin roll, apple pie, peach pie, and a delightful chocolate pie a sweet friend brought by for us! It was fantastic, and now I am in desperate need of a work out.

We've been living off the leftovers for most the weekend- so getting back into the swing of things has been a little daunting today!
Talk about a distracted day! I had gotten dishes done, taken all the remaining meat off the turkey, and that was about it...aside from getting some good shots for my "sports" topic for my photo blog (heh heh).
this is our specialty sport "high bouncing"

It was obvious today had been one of those "distracted" days when Matt came home to a whirlwind house, with no dinner made, kids bouncing off the walls, and me, sitting at the computer (oops). He very kindly re-directed the kids' energy and helped me get the house picked up. We then got on track with dinner and the bed time routine.

Back to real life, at least for a couple more weeks until Matt is off for Christmas break!
