getting closer

For months we've known this time would come- when we would say goodbye to many of our things, and friends, and family...

So far we've said goodbye to our SUV, two of Matt's little trucks, a number of household items...

Today we said the first goodbye to one of our friends...

Good ol' Three.

Eman got him for his third birthday. He is a handsome dog, full of energy and lots of LOVE! He very affectionately licked our feet, and the kids faces whenever he got the chance. He loves playing and running! Oh, how he loves running! We had some fun with this loving dog, but we are unable to take him with us, and therefore we had to find him a good home.

So, today his great new family came to take him to his new home... and it broke our hearts.

Lulu looked up at me with her big blue eyes welling with tears and told me she didn't want Three to go. Eman, after saying his goodbyes, came into the house and fell into my arms, sad to see his friend go. And of course, I lost it- seeing my little ones aching for their friend.

We will miss you Three. You are a good dog, you were a good friend and pet for us. Thanks for being our friend.
