Lake time for the Lew Crew!
We just had a ball out at the lake today. The kids (who know how to walk) love to run around the beach pushing Ezra's cousins dump trucks, and can stay well entertained for hours! And Eliza, who is not yet walking, but has started standing on her own (something I am not sure I am ready for) crawls after them sometimes, and just sits and eats the sand at other times. Both of my kids love the sand, sun, water and especially the mud! Yeah, it's a good time. Today we took out Matt's parents little red boat- believe me- that is an adventure! And Jeremy and Lindy brought out their boat, so I ate it a couple of times in my attempts to wake board- something I enjoy(wakeboarding that is, not the eating it part), but am not very good at. The lake is so low right now that to get down to the water we had to drive through a great deal of soft sand, both Matt and Jeremy got stuck. Matt and I went for a little sight seeing ride on the little boat, and explored some recently exposed land that is usually under water, it was incredible, I wish I had taken a camera with me, the little islands popping up everywhere are unreal! Anyway, we had a great time, and now we need to get into town to do some dirty work on our house, which is coming along slowly. It is not nearly as disgusting as the pictures I posted a couple of weeks ago, but it is still unreal how terrible this house was, and how much dirty work still has to go into it! Hopefully by Christmas we will be settled into our own sweet little home!
