Determination
Our big news this week is that little man Z said good bye to his training wheels!
He has been asking us to take them off for weeks now, Matt even did one day, and Z was kind of getting it, but not enough to be completely on his own.
Then he learned a few days ago that his cousin Nicole- who is younger than him by a few months and a GIRL learned how to ride her two wheeler- and that was enough for him.
When his dad got home the two headed out for the removal of the training wheels, and another try at the two wheeler riding.
They came in a while later- having accomplished most their goal. Z could ride alright, but corners where tough and stopping and starting still a little shaky. But it was getting late and it was time to put it away for the night.
Next day: first thing in the morning- the begging began- he could not wait to get on that bike! So we headed out and that boy tried again and again, first with my help, and then on his own until he successfully became quite the skilled two wheel rider!
